My Eyes

How do I view the world?
Apparently not like others
I can see beauty everywhere
No matter how ugly it seems

Perhaps the most beautiful sights I see
Are the faces of the people who live here
Even the scarred and bitter people
Have beauty if you're willing to look

Look not at the skin where dwell the lies
Instead take a peek at what dwells inside
External beauty does not reflect in
Internal beauty shines throughout
