Christmas Doings

Christmas in the Furry World
T'was a month until Christmas, precisely, not mostly
A snowstorm is brewing or so they are hopin'
Vixen is busy with stuffing and sewing
A legion of mice that seems to keep growing
Carvis is watching his movies and shows
And getting ideas that no one else knows
Mouse is at work but soon will be home
This week t'will be shopping making her roam.
Lycan is hoping more people get scheduled
For the Sundays to come when he works, how dreadful
Taris is hoping different music will play
Instead of the same song, only one, all day
Katthor is hoping his friends he can see
When on a weekend coming he can be free
The pace still is slow, it hasn't yet quickened
There's not much done for the Christmas time fixings
But soon everyone will be in a frenzy, a haste
Not wanting a moment of Christmas to waste
Decorations will go up, Christmas baking will start
Sights, scents and sounds will make merrier hearts
But we all know that there are Grinches, while hidden,
Who will be doing their bests to our moods get ridden
So Vixen's advice in this time of stress and good cheer
Is to smile, being happy is your best gift this year
Not to mention, she adds with a wicked, feral grin,
By refusing to be brought down, you show that you win!!

Christmas Eve
T'was the night before Christmas, Santa did reason
The furres were enjoying the holiday season
Vixen was bouncing around and around
Carvis was watching, with a smile, not a frown
Mousira was drawing and doing some baking
Dreaan was scheming, some mischief a-making
Lycan was hopping around in a daze
Taris was making a special new glaze
Bazaar was visiting his friends in the east
Krieldourden and Shauna were preparing to feast
Deranged Dios was adding to his Magic card collection
Defconn1 was playing his newest game (latest addiction)
Tymbre was playing too, involved in the races
TJ was enjoying seeing new faces
Katthor was looking for toes he could tickle
Kitmouse was scurrying around with a giggle
Kalreborn was programming, oh no, he was not
Brianweis was taking another Zen shot
Taurin was curled in a ball with his mate
Butterscotchvix was dressed up to celebrate
Cniper was visiting his family and friends
Exile was obsessed with one comment trends
Camstone was flirting with his darling Mooi
Rynden was busy as only he could be
Kali was drawing as fast as she can
Squal was watching, he's her biggest fan
Quasi was doing his pawpetry shows
HollyAnn was decorating with pretty pink bows
Because I don't want to say anything wrong
About friends I haven't known for very long
I'll keep this short and hope it's sweet too
Merry Christmas to each and every one of you!

Christmas 2004
'Twas the night before Christmas and all over the 'net
The furs were all scurrying, not sleeping just yet
There were hugs to be given and lots of good cheer
And hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would appear
The 'net is filled with all the furs gabbing
With wishes for the seasons and goodies they're nabbing
They're discussing their plans, their hopes and their dreams
Their biggest desire that life holds more than it seems
They share what they can to let everyone know
That caring for friends gives the best holiday glow
Then as midnight approaches, the furs settle down
They curl in their dens, all smiles, no frowns
They know on the morn, no matter how the year was
Their friends will be there, despite all the fuss
For no matter how rich a person you're called
Friendship truly is the best gift of all.

Christmas 2005
Twas the month of December, the last of the year,
A season for family, friends, good food and cheer
The decorations were up, cards dropped in the post
Parties underway, guests welcome, gifts for the host
Creatures all gather by the old Yule-time Tree
Peace is the message, hugs and kisses are free
The world was amused to see such a sight
As critters enjoying their Christmas Eve night
To all who read this, whether you are far or near
Merry Christmas my friends, have a Wonderful Year

Christmas 2006
'Twas the Season of Christmas all over the lands
Smiles shining, laughter ringing, hands holding hands
Excitedly waiting the first (staying) fall of snow
Were vixens and otters and cats, don't you know.
Wolves (they're plentiful) were making their plans
Bears were all eating (can't disappoint their fans).
Dogs rushing 'round, like the commercial zoom zooms,
Mice were grumpily hiding away in their rooms.
Griffins and dragons and birds all in flight
Were eagerly waiting for Christmas Eve night.
No matter what species, no matter their look
Every fur was waiting, like the story tale book.
Then finally it came, with the briefest breath pause
At midnight the ride of our dear Santa Claws.
He slipped in each house, in mysterious ways,
Leaving presents and joy on that brightest of days.
If you listen real close, on the edge of the winds,
You'll hear him exclaim "Merry Christmas, my friends."

Christmas 2007
The Christmas season was upon us once more
Decorations were strewn all over the floor.
Some for the walls, some for the shelves,
Lots of decorating for me and the elves.
Can't get gifts, so it's a poem for this year
For family and friends that live far and near.
Our thoughts are about you, we're wishing the best
For the upcoming year, well you know the rest.
Although we're not rich, we're generous in heart
And hope that our paths never shall part
So know that this gift you can hold in your hand
(In place of a card) does mean something grand
It carries a measure of the friendship between us
In these simple words, Merry Christmas.
